Issue: OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, Ill., wanted an aggressive approach to promote its Regional Heart Institute to the community. The goal? To build trust in the institute among heart care consumers and increase cardiac admissions.
Strategy: Roll out an aggressive campaign using television, outdoor, newspaper, radio and direct mail to tout the institute’s excellence in heart care. Target physicians to boost referrals. Position OSF Saint Anthony as the “Second Opinion Center” and an innovative leader in cardiac care.
Results: Admissions have increased 15 to 17 percent since the implementation of this campaign.
