WAUKESHA, Wis. – Lori A. Bruss, MEd, CHES, executive vice president for The Roberts Group, a full-service health care marketing agency, will be presenting at the Professional Research Consultants (PRC) 2010 Excellence in Healthcare Conference on the topic of orthopaedic marketing. Presenting with Bruss will be Gerry Salter, MBA, PT, ATC, CSCS, service line director for Orthopaedics at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
“It is very exciting to have the opportunity to present a health care marketing success story at such a prestigious conference,” said Bruss. “We strongly believe in the idea that involving marketing in the early stages of any major project makes a positive impact on overall results. Our goal is to provide attendees with helpful information on why and how to involve marketing strategy at the beginning of a center launch, in hopes that we will help other organizations experience the success we have.”
Bruss and Salter’s presentation, titled “Orthopaedics & Marketing: A Joint Effort,” will look at the positive outcomes of launching a center with input from the marketing team; most centers are developed with the input of clinicians and operations but don’t often involve marketing until the grand opening. Bruss and Salter will share the details of the Saint Francis Medical Center’s Center for Joint Replacement launch, including how it was developed, how it was launched and how it has grown into being a profitable venture in just two years.
The 11th Annual PRC Excellence in Healthcare Conference will be held in San Diego, Calif., from June 6 through June 9, 2010.
