WAUKESHA, Wis. – Lori A. Bruss, MEd, CHES, executive vice president for The Roberts Group, a full-service health care marketing agency, has been invited to present at the Wisconsin Health Information Management Association’s (WHIMA) 2010 Annual Conference on the topic of hospitals and social media.
“I am honored that WHIMA has asked me to present, especially on a topic that continues to interest the health care industry on many levels,” said Bruss. “With marketing budgets tighter than ever, the focus on measurable results-based marketing has become more critical. Many health care marketers are struggling to balance traditional media outlets along with the Internet and social media.”
Bruss’s 50-minute presentation, titled “The Good and Bad of Social Media,” will look at how hospitals can repurpose and strengthen marketing and customer communication over multiple new channels. She will also discuss how to demonstrate the value of these new channels to organization leadership.
The WHIMA 75th Annual Conference will be held in Elkhart Lake, Wis., from May 5 to May 7, 2010. The conference presentations will focus on management challenges, coding, compliance quality and the electronic health record. The conference caters to individuals in the health care industry who have an interest in any of the aspects of managing and handling patient health information.
